KLEMM Bohrtechnik has more than five decades of experience in the development and manufacture of powerful drill rigs. In this time, the company has decisively contributed towards the history of anchor drilling technology with innovative technologies – this is confirmed by e.g. more than 100 active patents and industrial property rights.

Separation of the Günter Klemm drilling company.

1968

Factory in Sondern, office in Rhode.

1969

Acquisition of land in Wenkhausen, construction of offices and production facilities.

Cessation of drilling activities and now operating as G. Klemm Bohrtechnik.

1975

Construction of additional production and warehouse facilities.

1982

Opening of the Hydroc branch in Sengenau, later to become plant number 2.
Erection of a hydraulics department for the assembly of hydraulic drifters and rotary heads.

1983

Erection of a second unit for storage and dispatch.

1986

Erection of the first assembly shop, including an extension for design work.
Increased size of head office, set up of paint shops, and machinery washing bays.

1987

Trading as Ing. G. Klemm Bohrtechnik GmbH.

1989

Take-over by the US Ingersoll-Rand group.

1991

Erection of the second assembly shop, including extensions for engineering design and additional office space.

1998

Takeover by BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH.

1999

Trading as KLEMM Bohrtechnik, a branch of BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH.

2001

Trading as KLEMM Bohrtechnik, a branch of BAUER Maschinen GmbH.

2004

Establishment of a master plan for optimum material flow and expansion of capacity.

2005

Re-establishing the Wintersohl stream, new logistics shop, new painting and pre-production, reconstruction of plant number 2.

2007

Transition of the branch and trading as KLEMM Bohrtechnik GmbH Complete new look for management offices and reception.

2008

Construction of a new assembly shop and offices using geothermal and solar energy sources.

2011

Transfer of the ABS Trenchless GmbH from Oberveischede to the Wenkhausen site.

2012

Transfer of the HAUSHERR System Bohrtechnik GmbH from Unna to the Wenkhausen site.

2013

New storage building for secure air freight.
